As of May 1, 2017, Brazilian citizens may request an eTA (electronic travel authorization) if: they have had a Canadian visa in the last 10 years; or have a valid US nonimmigrant visa.
For Brazilian citizens who do not meet the eligibility criteria for an eTA, it will be necessary to apply for a visitor visa to travel to Canada
IRCC proposes to increase the maximum age of children accompanying the main candidate in the application for permanent residence. Currently, single children under the age of 19 can be included in the application. The intention is to allow more immigrants to bring their children with them, and reduce the need for multiple applications within a family. No definite age was the proposal for change.
Canadian Immigration Minister John McCallum has stated his intention to “substantially increase” the number of new immigrants to Canada in order to fill the labor shortage, with a three-year immigration plan to be unveiled in that autumn.
“We are moving to reduce some of the barriers in our immigration system … we believe they can be simplified, we think there are some rules that are no longer needed,” added McCallum.
“Now we’ll have to convince Canadians about it, but I think that’s a good idea.”
Ottawa, June 13, 2016 – As part of its commitment to family reunification, the Government of Canada will grant permanent residence to more spouses, partners and dependent children of Canadian citizens and permanent residents that year. This will significantly reduce the accumulation of existing orders and accelerate the processing time of future applications.
This year, the Government increased the number of spaces allowed for spouses, partners and dependent children from 14 000 to 62 000 spaces.
It is not necessary to contact immigration. Just make sure your information is up-to-date and if you are contacted by immigration respond within the deadline stated in the correspondence. The success of the operation also depends on the applicant’s help.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is returning fees paid to the Department related to permanent residence applications in the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category in accordance with the cumulative application elimination note that was announced in 2012.
If you applied for the FSW program before February 27, 2008, and have not heard any decision from the CIC, you may be affected by this law. Here’s how to request a refund of the fee at the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/…/dep…/media/notices/notice-returns.asp
My name is Fernando and I used the services of LM Consultingservices (Luiza Molina) for the application for the permanent residency of my husband Felipe. Both of us met Luiza in her office and right from the get go we liked her personality, her determination and professionalism. Unfortunately Felipe’s immigration took 3 years to arrive (bureaucracy), but Luiza Molina was there with us, going after our rights and calling us all the time to keep us informed about the process. It’s been a few years now that we used Luiza’s services, but we’ll never forget all she had done for us.
I have became a Permanent Resident back in 2014 thanks to Luiza. I have met with few lawyers before her and a work colleague suggested Luiza and spoke very highly of her. I have contacted Luiza and she was so helpful and clear what I needed to do to become a permanent resident. She was very fast to complete all the necessary documents and apply. I am so happy that she was my representative.
My name is Luiz, I’m a Professional Bull Rider (pawn) and I came to Canada three years ago with my family.
I came with a competitor’s visa at the invitation of a Canadian rodeo company.
Since we arrived here in Canada, Luiza Molina has been taking care of our visa statuses and extensions very successfully.
I fully rely on your excellent work and recommend to all who need an honest and competent Licensed Paralegal.
Over the last few years I have found it very difficult to reconcile competence and honesty. Mainly find professionals who still think about the difficulties of a new beginning for an immigrant. In fact, these qualities were found in Luiza Molina, as soon as her person and her work was indicated to me. With his skills and ideas formed from his knowledge of the respective immigration laws, I indicate the exemplary work of the person and professional mentioned above.
Luiza Molina is a professional committed to the cause of her clients. In my case, sponsorship application, she was clear and honest about all the risks involved in my process. She has acted at every stage of the process to protect my interests. Always up to date with Canadian immigration and visa laws and affiliated with the Law Society of Upper Canada, she has an odd professionalism. She led my trial to its brilliant conclusion. I am very happy and pleased to have chosen Luiza Molina to coordinate my sponsorship process.
From the moment I was introduced to Molina I just have to thank you for the commitment and efficiency with which you have dealt with my case together with the Canadian laws so that we can achieve our goal !!
Thank you Molina for everything you have done for us !!!
